Dropped in for early diner. Service was great and food didn't take long to arrive Prawn, crab and corizo linguine was tasty and well cooked. Only negative was a bit to much garlic, and I love garlic. Good size portion. Wife had belly of pork, good portion and excellent crackling. The walls next to the table were stained with food, otherwise 5 stars. Spent £30pp for main course, drink and dessert.

Food is great! Location is great ... lovely to sit outside. I have now visited twice and can't fault the food or location. On both occasions the service wasn't the greatest. The staff weren't warm and both drinks and food were brought to the table without even saying a word... just drop off and leave. No eye contact or a smile or a: "enjoy". We ordered a bottle of water for the table and only one glass was brought. We weren't asked if we wanted more glasses and off they went again. Just work on this minor point and the place would be fantastic.

Lovely pub, lovely food, lovely staff. Spoke to a great guy at the bar who recommended a couple of nice walks in the area. There’s parking and some outdoor seating. No river views as stated on google but still very close. Can definitely recommend the lamb there and the calamari which came with a marvellous dip. Super yummy.

The staff were very welcoming and our server was a* (unfortunately I didn't get his name so can't give him the credit he's due). We ordered the sharing steak and it was cooked perfectly, definitely enough for 2! Price wise worth every penny, good quality food!

We had our wedding buffet here recently and it was really lovely. The manager was so accommodating and all of our guests had a great time and really enjoyed the food. We came for lunch today also whilst collecting our wedding decorations, we ordered the set lunch menu and sat on the terrace and it was really delicious. I do highly recommend The Spade Oak Dietary restrictions: Catered for my gluten free guest Kid-friendliness: Kids loved the pizza and brownies

So whilst we like that there was no time limit on the table, it took ages to get our food and everyone was grumbling about this. The food was nice but only luke warm and we didn’t get the bottomless gravy, nor did one of the party get their sauce for their steak. The cauliflower cheese was naff and not with the £4.50 price tag, there was no cheese sauce on it. Our table was booked at 1pm and we left at 5pm which says how slow the food and service was. Shame as the venue is lovely. It felt like there were not enough staff on and one member of staff looked like miserable the entire time.

Every now and again I Pop in this boozer for a Guinness and bit of munch, always satisfied after leaving, food is very nice, tasty and filling! cod and chips and a nice pud for afters does the job, shout out to the waitress named Carly who took my order poured my Guinness and gave me extra mayo, good bants as well. Looking forward to stuffing my face again, hopefully when the sun's out so I can eat in the garden.

Delicious food however let down by lack of cleanliness. Tables, floor dirty. Toilets awful, no toilet paper, hand dryer not working and no hand towels! However best burger I've had in a long time both normal burger and gluten free were equally good

Tonight the service was a little slow which is not the norm but with very good reason and nevertheless we were given the best quality food and the right amount of attention. Absolutely impressed by the waitress dealing with all tables and patrons on that side of the venue. 6 out of 5 stars for Me ☆☆☆☆☆☆ Beautiful venue. Pet friendly. Amazing! Super super highly recommend to anyone and everyone making there way throigh Bourne end. Well done!
